Traveling throughout the United States, you can see many AWA development projects in great variety and scope. AWA has completed successful projects in approximately 400 cities in 13 states. No matter the project or geographic location, we have a unsurpassed record of providing our clients with the highest standard of work.

Our projects are carefully assessed and managed, from concept to ribbon cutting. We are there to ensure the project is completed to the client's expectations.

Automotive

Automobile sales, maintenance and parts represents a huge sector of our economy. We have worked with several large, regional dealerships to construct or remodel their stores,  offices and shops.

The engineering must be flawless to support the construction.

Financial Institutions

AWA has provided full consulting services for over 75 credit unions and banks in Utah, Arizona, Idaho, Montana, and Nevada.  These projects typically range from one to two acres.  Although these sites are small in size, they include all of the same issues encountered with much larger sites.

AWA’s involvement typically begins during the site selection process and ends at the final walk through and ribbon cutting. Our extensive experience with these types of projects allows us to consult with our clients to ensure that every site is a success.

Entertainment

AWA has provided full consulting services for several theaters, water parks, and entertainment complexes.   Our most recent experience included a Cinemark Theatre, the Cowabunga Bay Water Park and the Incredible Pizza in Draper, Utah.

We understand the need for these sites to provide an inviting atmosphere for their patrons.  We use our previous experience to incorporate these ideas into the site design to create a successful project.

Fuel Centers

AWA has entitled and designed over 100 fuel centers throughout the western United States. The fuel centers are typically constructed on existing grocery store parking lots.  We have also completed several larger free-standing fuel centers and convenience stores.

We understand the design and entitlement challenges involved with designing fuel centers, from building permits to air quality and EPA permitting.  We are also versed in the challenges that arise from placing a new fuel center into an existing development.   Our vast experience allows us to guide our clients through the process from start to finish.

Governmental Facilities

AWA has provided surveying and engineering services for several government agencies. Our experience includes the design of schools, libraries, fire stations, recreation centers, swimming pools, and many others.

We understand the unique aspects of dealing with the many layers involved with a government agency. We are skilled at balancing and accommodating the many voices that come with this type of project.  We are able to absorb and incorporate the input in order to design a successful project.

Healthcare

AWA has done the surveying and design for many health care clinics. Currently we are working on multiple Intermountain Health Care clinics throughout Utah that will soon be complete.

Our engineers work with the client to ensure that their needs in a health care center will be met. Our company has experience on a variety of projects and we use the knowledge from our past projects to develop the best solutions that meet the demands of a health care clinic where the patient comes first. 

Hospitality

AWA has worked with various hotel groups such as Embassy Suites and Hampton Inn and Suites. 

At AWA, we are dedicated to treating a company as if it were our own. Therefore, when we work on a hotel, it is as if we were attending to the guests ourselves. We work hard to assure that every hospitality project is well-designed to guarantee the satisfaction of future lodgers. From start to finish, surveying to the finished product, we ensure that every hotel can maximize the return on investment. 

Multi and Single Family Residential

AWA is experienced at all types of multi-family residential projects, with extensive knowledge in the design of condominiums, apartments, town houses, HUD projects, and senior living centers.

ADA accessibility issues are critical in the design of multi-family projects.  Our designers are experienced in providing an accurate and buildable design that conforms to the ADA rules and regulations.

Large and Small Retail

AWA specializes in large grocery-anchored retail centers.  We have completed over 500 large retail centers in the western United States.  Our projects range from 5 to 50 acres and typically include a grocery store or similar-sized anchor tenant.

AWA is involved with all aspects of design for these sites. We typically work directly for the retailer or developer.  Our goal with any project is to treat it as if we are the owners.  This is especially important for retail centers where every square foot of space is critical to the success of the project.

Office

AWA has extensive experience in designing office projects from small, one-story office buildings to 10 story office buildings with parking structures.

We work closely with the architect and owner on these projects to develop a plan that not only optimizes the site layout, but provides the aesthetics that an office development requires.  We understand the importance of landscaping in these types of projects and our landscape designers will provide an efficient and attractive plan.
